PetVille puts new Space Struggle lost toys into orbit

PetVille has released the first four lost toys in a new Space Struggle set today. Similar to the 8 lost Princess Fairies that were hidden last month, these toys will be randomly placed in treasure boxes in your friend's pet's homes. Once you find a Space Struggle Toy, you are then prompted to post it on your Facebook wall for your friends to claim. This of course means that if you want to collect all of this set, you will have to have friends who like to share their findings on their Facebook page.

How to Get More YoCoins

  • Visit Friends: You can earn coins each time you visit a friend in the game. Simply choose a friends avatar from the list of friends at the bottom of the game-play screen. Click "visit." When you're at their house a pop-up screen will list activities that you can do to earn coins. The options include "send free gift," "joke," "kiss," "message," "fight" or "dance." Messages seem to earn the most and you can sometimes earn about 19 coins for sending a one or two-sentence message, though this may vary.
  • Work in the Widget Factory: By clicking on "Show Map" you can work at the Widget Factory. In the factory, follow the sign that says "click to work." Depending on how many friends you have, you can earn a lot of coins this way. Keep in mind that you can only do this every six hours or so.
  • YoVille.com: If you visit YoVille.com and sign in using your Facebook or MySpace profile, you can play a balloon game and can find 'pots of gold' worth 5 coins each. On YoVille.com, a pop-up will appear alerting you of a gift you can steal or a pot of gold on a friends game. TAKE these as they add up. Simply keep clicking through until you've collected all the coins you can. On YoVille.com you can also play a fun balloon game. For full instructions, visit our page on

Merry Christmas Farmville, you are $180 Million Richer!

The developers of Farmville just got some splendid news from a Russian investment firm. The Digital Sky Technologies firm has agreed to invest $180,000,000 into the social gaming company. This news comes after Zynga announced that its social games are among the most popular on Facebook, with nearly one-third of the Facebook’s users playing their games monthly. According to Virtual Worlds News, Digital Sky Technologies will take a passive role in the company and will not hold a seat or have observer rights on Zynga’s board of directors.
One report claims that Zynga’s company value is now upward to 1.5 Billion dollars.
What does this mean for you? Well for starters this means that all the time you are spending inside games like Farmville and Petville will not be for nothing anytime soon. There is no indication that Zynga will shut down its popular services.
Since removing the sketchy advertising model of the past raising capital was the next best way to receive money for the company, so congrats are to Zynga!
