Cafe World Food Spoiling Rate

An important part of Cafe World is knowing how much time it takes for your food to spoil after it is finished. There’s nothing more frustrating than missing your serving window and logging in to see that your prize dish was sitting on the stovetop for just a little too long. Fortunately, due to some really good detective work in the Cafe World forums the answer is here. This is the formula:
Serving Window = Cooking Time X 1.2
In other words, if your dish takes 60 minutes to cook, you’ll have 72 minutes (60 x 1.2) to serve it before it spoils. Knowing this information will help you plan your Cafe World cooking strategy!

Super Sliders Coming Soon

It looks like there will be a new recipe coming very soon to Cafe World. The new food item is called Super Sliders and from what is mentioned on the Cafe World Facebook fan page, it looks like those will be like mini-cheeseburgers that have more servings than the normal ones. It’s all part of a celebration for reaching 1 million fans on the Facebook page. Wow! They’ll be available on November 17. Here’s the official word from the Facebook fan page:
Hiya chefs! Roll out the red carpet and save the date of Nov. 17th….We hit a million fans today! Here’s a hint to what “Super Sliders” are; smaller burgers that allow more servings and your customers will love em!! Stay tuned for more details about the ‘secret sauce’ and how good it really is… Happy Cooking & here’s to the next million!

Super Sliders are Here

Super Sliders have arrived. They were released about an hour ago as part of the 1 million Fan celebration for Cafe World on Facebook. You’ll find the recipe on the third page of your cookbook, right below where the pot roast is. The super sliders cost 15 coins to make and produce 25 servings at 4 coins each for 100 coins total, or 85 coins of profit. They only take 5 minutes to cook, so they’re an excellent way to earn coins, yielding 17 coins per minute or 1020 coins per hour (not including preparation time).
The best part? They don’t spoil, so if you have to leave your computer for more than a few minutes, you’re not out of luck like you are with other short-cook foods.
Here’s the bad news. They’re only available for two days. So jump in and get cooking!

Cafe World Medals Have Arrived

After a very long wait with just the words, “Coming Soon” showing up when you clicked on the medal icon in the game, Cafe World medals have finally arrived in the game. It looks like to start there are five different groups of medals that you can earn, in the following categories:
  • Number of Neighbors you have
  • Number of meals you’ve served
  • Coins Earned
  • Gifts Received
  • Consecutive Days Cooking
Some of the new medals count prior activity (Neighbors and meals) and some seem to have started their counters from zero when the medals were released (coins, gifts, days cooking). Also the last three medals appear as locked to most people. I’m researching why this is and will post an update soon. If you know the answer, please leave a comment!

Cafe World Recipe Tables

It can be hard to find good information about all the Cafe World recipes online. Here is a table that shows all the really important data about the different dishes you can serve in the game. You can use this information to decide what to cook for the maximum amount of coins and cafe points. It’s very helpful to plan out your strategies.

Power Leveling in Cafe World

When you start gaining a few levels in Cafe World, you’ll probably start to see that it’s a lot easier to accumulate coins than levels in the game. Pretty soon, most players have piles of coins that they can’t really spend. It would be awesome if there was a way to convert those coins into Cafe Points (CP) so that you could level up faster, wouldn’t it? Well, guess what? There is! It’s a technique called power leveling and it’s pretty simple, although time-intensive, to do.
